General Information

The Gastonia Transit bus fleet consists of seven (7) 2004 35-foot transit buses, three (3) demand response vans, and the only compressed natural gas ("CNG") bus in the state of North Carolina. All units are air-conditioned and designed to accommodate our mobility impaired passengers. All buses pass through the downtown transfer terminal, Bradley Station, located at 121 N. Oakland Street. This allows for quick and easy transfers to be made.

Gastonia Transit covers over 299,000 miles per year, providing service to over 282,000 passengers annually. Clicking on the following link will allow you to access our transit system map complete with detailed route and passenger instructions.

Title VI Notice to Public

Gastonia Transit hereby gives public notice of its policy to uphold and assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related acts and statutes. Title VI and related statutes prohibiting discrimination in Federally assisted programs require that no person in the United States of America shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal assistance.

Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice regarding Gastonia Transit programs has a right to file a formal complaint with Gastonia Transit. Any such complaint must be in writing and submitted to the Gastonia Transit Title VI Compliance Officer within one hundred eighty (180) days following the date of the alleged occurrence
