During the winter months, there are times when weather conditions are such that garbage cannot be collected. Even when the roads appear safe, there are many secondary roads that are not passable. When service is cancelled or delayed, it will be announced on WBTV News 3, 6 News, News 14, Channel 9 and Government Access Channel 16.
