Water / Sewer

The Planning and Research division is responsible for the coordination of the installation of new water and sewer services, the installation and maintenance of all water meters in the utility system, and administers the city's cross-connection control prevention program. Provides a resource and contact for new developments and businesses to address water and sewer service requirements. The testing and calibration of all water meters (+26,000) is performed by this division. Provides direction for utility revenue security program and appropriate corrective action by staff. The Planning and Research division has two work groups, Meter Service and Repair and Service Request, with seven employees to perform the daily functions of the division.
